Your data, your choice. You have the right to delete your Wenect account and personal data at any time, under GDPR Article 17. We process all deletion requests within a maximum of 30 days.

1. Your Right to Erasure

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Article 17, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data — also known as the "right to be forgotten" — in the following circumstances:

  • The data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected
  • You withdraw consent on which processing is based and there is no other legal ground for processing
  • You object to processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds
  • Your data has been unlawfully processed
  • Deletion is required to comply with a legal obligation

Wenect honours all valid erasure requests promptly. Some data may be retained for legal compliance reasons (see Section 5), which is permitted under GDPR Article 17(3).

2. Delete Account In-App

The fastest way to delete your account is directly within the Wenect app:

1

Open Settings

Tap the profile icon or menu to access your account Settings.

2

Go to Account

Scroll down to the "Account" section within Settings.

3

Select "Delete Account"

Tap "Delete Account" and confirm your decision when prompted.

4

Confirmation

You will receive a confirmation email. Your account and personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

Once you initiate account deletion, you will be immediately signed out. Your account will be deactivated and your data queued for permanent deletion within 30 days.

3. Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot access the app, or if you have already lost access to your account, you can submit a data deletion request by email:

Request Account & Data Deletion

Send your request from the email address associated with your Wenect account. Include your full name and the email address used to register.

Email Deletion Request

We will verify your identity before processing the request and respond within 5 business days to confirm receipt. The deletion itself will be completed within 30 days of your verified request.

4. What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following personal data is permanently and irreversibly deleted:

  • Your account profile (name, email, password hash, profile photo)
  • All digital business cards you created
  • All portfolio images, voice clips, and video introductions you uploaded
  • Your saved contacts and collected cards
  • Notes and reminders attached to contacts
  • Lead capture data you collected
  • Your card view and scan analytics
  • Your notification preferences and device push tokens
  • Your subscription data (active subscription is cancelled)
  • Your language and theme preferences
  • All locally cached data on your device (upon app reinstall)

Your public card page (wenect.app/share/[id]) will immediately become inaccessible and return a 404 error upon account deletion.

This action is permanent and irreversible. Deleted data cannot be recovered. If you may want to use Wenect again in the future, consider deactivating your account instead by contacting support.

5. What Data May Be Retained
